Membership

Members of the Society: categories, dues, rights & responsibilities

There are seven categories of Members constituting the Society. These are:

Ø      Virtual Members

Ø      Associate Members

Ø      Institutional Members (Profit Making)

Ø      Institutional Members (Non Profit Making)

Ø      Patrons

Ø      Advisors and Honorary Members

Virtual Members: Persons who have registered at the website or are a part of Online Discussion Groups etc. They do not pay any fee. Such members receive information about the society, exchange information with others on mutual sharing basis. They have free access to general website content but not to Database areas. They have a responsibility to provide verifiable contact information about themselves and keep it updated. 

Associate Members: Individuals who pay a Lifetime fee. They attend regular meetings of the society including AGM. They have voting rights too. Associate members get the newsletter free. They get a substantial discount on products, publications and services when compared to non-members. 

Associate Membership Dues: Rs 50/- Registration. Rs 1000/- for life.

Institutional Members (PM) Profit making

All privileges of AM plus: they have access to marketing their products/services through the society. They may sponsor events and activities of the society. They get a discount on advertisements in Societies publications and the website. They can participate in training programs by deputing multiple participants at a heavily discounted rate. . This category of members will have representation in Managing Committee.

Institutional Membership (PM) Dues: Rs 50/- Registration. Rs 10000/- per year

Institutional members (NPM) Non-Profit

These are NGOs, Non-Profits, Govt Departments; Associations & Clubs connected with Senior Citizens activities. Though they enjoy equal benefits like Institutional Member (PM), NPM category pay lesser Membership fees. . This category of members will have representation in Managing Committee.

Institutional Membership (NPM) dues. Rs 50/- Registration. Rs 3000/- per year

Patrons: Individuals who pay a donation.  In addition to benefits of AM, these members are felicitated on suitable occasions. Dues: Life Membership Plus a donation equal to not less than Rs 20000/-

Advisors and Honorary Members:  Those invited by the Society to provide moral support. They pay no fee or membership. They do not vote. They are persons of great eminence, repute and social standing. They neither expect nor accept any benefits that the society has to offer other category of members.
