Curriculum

Bio:  Silvia Marchesi is Professor of Economics at the Department of Economics at the University of Milano Bicocca). She is Vice-Director of the Center for European Studies (CefES), at the University of Milano Bicocca, and senior fellow of the Rimini Centre for Economic Analysis (RCEA). She is an Associate Editor of Research in Economics, the Journal of Cultural Economics, the Italian Economic Journal, a member of the Scientific Committee of the Political Economy of Aid (PEA) Conference and a former member of the Executive Board of the European Public Choice Society (EPCS). She holds a doctoral degree from Warwick University (UK) (2001). Prior to taking up her current position, she was an Associate Professor at the University of Milano Bicocca, Assistant Professor at the University of Siena, a postdoc researcher at the University of Florence and research associate at Warwick University. She has been visiting Professor at University of Paris 1, Panthéon Sorbonne; the Financial Market Group (FMG), London School of Economics; at Goettingen and Heidelberg University; at the Centre for the Study of Globalisation and Regionalisation (CSGR), Warwick University and at Einaudi Institute for Economics and Finance (EIEF) in Rome.
