 Fall Fest Update - 1 Week Countdown!!

         Sunday, September 27, 2026 - The Big Event for SCM

This is an exciting day for our parish and school as we all get to connect with each other and work for a great cause.

Look at the Auction List and check to see if your donation is listed.  Many

wonderful donations have come in already; grain, hogs, and beef along with many useful and interesting items to be auctioned off.

* If anyone needs help to transport a donation, call SJN School (402-892-3474) and someone will assist you.

The baskets are coming together with Mary Rupprecht and her crew working to assemble them attractively.  There’s a basket for everyone’s interest from young to old.  View them online at https://www.facebook.com/SJNClarkson after this Sunday.

* Bidding begins Sept. 26th at 7:30 AM and runs thru 4:00 PM on the day of Fall Fest.  At least one basket is sure to catch your eye and is waiting for your bid!

The Country Store will be open at 7:00 AM Sunday to accept your donations - anxious to sell your eggs, garden produce, and baked goodies. It is sponsored by FCSLALife - a great organization that supports many of our parish activities.

FALL FEST will be successful because it is IN YOUR HANDS and we know our parishioners are kind and generous people!  We still have open slots to fill for meal prep, but we desperately need volunteers for kitchen clean-up.  If you can help in this capacity for even a short time, please let Holly Svehla (402-750-9045) or Trisha Steffensmeier (402-910-4295) know as soon as possible.  Many hands make light work!  These two chairwomen are going the extra mile to prepare a wonderful meal for our parish.

                                              Fall Fest Update ~ 21 Days & Counting!!

 The Fall Fest Committee has been busy getting ready for our biggest fundraising event ever on September 27th.  Fall Fest 2026 is just 3 weeks away and most of the “behind the scenes” planning has taken place.  Some items for the auction have been solicited from area businesses over the past 3-4 weeks.   The key to a successful auction however, also includes the items our parishioners donate.  The beef and pork as well as the grain are major contributions, but items of $50-$100 in value quickly add to the total income. 

A list of Fall Fest Certificates that have been contributed is available in the church vestibule.  They will be on sale thru September 13th, as advertised this Sunday.

We need your contributions for the BIG auction and/or the Silent “Basket” auction by Mon., Sept. 14th.  Some of the items will be included in baskets and we also make a list of auction items for parishioners to look over in anticipation of the BIG auction.  Baskets will be assembled beginning the week of Monday, Sept. 14th, and pictured before the Fall Fest for viewing online at https://www.facebook.com/sjnclarkson.  Bidding on the baskets will be in person starting at 7:30 AM Sat., Sept. 26th, and ending at 4:00 PM the day of Fall Fest.

Please call SJN School to list any item you are donating to the auction.  If you need help transporting it to the school, arrangements can be made for someone to pick it up.

Contributions to the Country Store can be brought in to SJN as early as 7:00 AM the day of Fall Fest.

As many of you know, the success of our annual Fall Fest is in your hands.  Volunteers are needed to prepare and serve the meal, clean-up afterward, assist with split-the-pot, bottle bonanza, children’s games, etc.  Many of you have already signed up to bring desserts and pies and help in the kitchen with the meal.  The dumplings for the auction have been made and strudels for sale will be made soon.  The beef and pork are being processed and prepped.  Parishioner donations have started coming in for the Silent Auction as well as for the BIG Auction.  The beautiful baskets will be put together as items are brought to SJN.

Please be as generous as possible with your donations, as well as with your valuable time and talent.  Thanks to all of you for your future and present help, as well as your wonderful donations.

Lastly, we need everyone to attend the main event and help us make it a great success.  We’ll be looking for you at our delicious Fall Fest Meal serving from 11 AM - 1 PM and then following at 1:15 for the BIG Auction….Invite your friends and neighbors!

* Remember, the funds earned at Fall Fest all stay in our parish for needed expenses.  We thank you in advance for your support of this important fundraiser!
