Welcome
Welcome to this portion of the website, dedicated to music used as interludes within the church service.
I began as a church organist at a young age, when I was simultaneously learning a lot of the romantic piano literature. Many years later, as I again took on church organist duties, I considered what unique musical ground I stood upon -- and recalled my piano background. Hence I have stored here a number of pieces that I have recently used as interludes -- most began as piano pieces, some more obscure and some less so. The great pianist Vladimir Horowitz should be thanked for some of these selections (e.g., the Scriabin, Schumann and the Scarlatti) --- he had not only fantastic technique but also fine taste in choosing his repertoire. I hope this webpage will provide a useful resource for aspiring keyboard players of all stripes.
