On-Playa recruits to the Squirrel Army can join by successfully undergoing the enlistment course known as the Gauntlet. The Gauntlet tests whether Black Rock residents are squirrel enough to join the Squirrel Army through a playground-style obstacle course and personal interaction with Squirrel Army members. After successfully undergoing the Gauntlet, new enlistees will be rewarded with a Squirrel Army patch and a Squirrel Whisky or Pink Squirrel at the Golden Acorn bar and pampered under our shade structure.
