To test your blind spot. Follow the steps below
1. Close your LEFT eye with the palm of your left hand. Center the image, above, on your monitor. Make sure you are seated about a foot away from the screen.
2. Look at the SQUARE with your RIGHT Eye
3. Keep staring at the SQUARE with your RIGHT Eye and move straight ahead, closer to the monitor
4. A point will come when the image of the CIRCLE will fall on the blind spot of your RIGHT eye and will disappear. This is your blind spot (or the optic disk)
5. Keep moving closer and the CIRCLE will reappear. The image has now moved beyond the blind spot.
For the LEFT eye, close the RIGHT eye, Look at the CIRCLE, move straight closer to the monitor. The SQUARE will disappear and eventually re-appear.
Set your volume to regular settings, as if you were watching any YouTube movie. Watch Hearing Test and listen very carefully using headphones. The video displays audio frequencies that are being played
Vision is graded using a Snellen's Visual Acuity chart (please refer to your study guide). The vision is quantified as a fraction. The numerator refers to the distance at which the patient sits, the denominator is the number associated with the line that the patient can read while sitting at that distance. The distance at which the patient is 6 meters (20 feet). The "best" visual acuity is usually stated as 6/6.
Is it possible to have vision better than 6/6. Yes. Then why is 6/6 taken to be "Normal" vision, when it is possible to have better vision.
The reason is as stated above; Normal vision is 6/6, It is still possible to have vision that is better than this. Think of this like your pulse. Anything between 60-80 beats per minute is regarded as okay, while 72 is "Normal". When a particular value is described to be "Normal" it means that majority of the population will have that (value). It is still possible for people to fall in the range, which might be better than normal.
For Visual Acuity, vision up to 6/3 has been noted. These very lucky individuals can distinguish two objects as separate at 6 meters what others can only do at 3, and thus have "eagle" (or "fighter pilot") vision
