Prompts for this task include Descriptions of the lessons, Constructive learning atmosphere,Evidence of student's active learning, Promoting critical thinking and reflection.
When you describe your lesson make sure you inform the reviewer which lesson the clip is from an what's happening in that clip.
For the constructive learning atmosphere explain which clips you have met the individual needs of your students and is also requiring and asking the students to go beyond what you have planned for the lesson objective in each clip.
For the evidence of student learning show those time stamps from your video that you have implemented higher order thinking skills and shows that the students are participating in peer to peer activities and demonstrates that you are a motivating and enthusiastic content specialist that delivers instruction in a meaningful and fun way.
For the promoting critical thinking aspect of your narrative, look for those clips in moments where you challenge your students and asking them to justify their statements with text-based evidence.
For the reflection prompt be sure to address and infuse education theories and research for the changes you propose. You can also deal with looking at technical issues and analyzing select student responses to the lesson. And as always be sure to check your narrative against the rubric.
