Tensegrity
Sphere which results from the Tensegrity assembly of tubes working in compression, tied and held together without making contact with one another, by a network of cables working in tension.
In this case, the Tensegrity pattern is arranged by five rods that are assembled in a pentagonal confi guration and are held together in by a network of tension cables. This pentagonal confi guration is repeated to form 4 tiers. The rods are standardized into four sizes, each allocated for each tier.
This case can result in uneven, non-oriented, and discontinuous enclosures.
