Pack 92 Information
Pack 92 is a part of the Lighthouse District of the Seneca Waterways Council, Boy Scouts of America, which serves the youth of the County of Monroe, the City of Rochester and the Finger Lakes are of Western New York. Our Charter Organization is the Ogden Presbyterian Church.
Pack & Pack Meetings: Every Cub Scout is a member of a Cub Scout pack. A Pack is a large group of scouts. The Pack is divided into smaller groups called dens. Our Pack meets once a month at Bernabi Elementary School in the Cafeteria at 6:30pm on the last Monday of every month between August and April.
Dens & Den Meetings: A Den is a group of six to eight scouts, within the pack, that meets several times a month between Pack meetings. The scouts in a Den are all at the same grade level. The Den structure allows scouts to build relationships with leaders and other scouts.
Dues: Annual Dues are $75 and run from September through August. The $75 amount includes a one-year subscription to Boy’s Life which we recommend. If you choose not to subscribe, the dues are $63.
Uniform: Scouts in First Grade (Tigers) through Webelos (4th or 5th Grade) wear the Cub Scout uniform. The Pack will provide a neckerchief and slide for their rank as well as the Pack 92 unit patch for their uniform. Uniforms can be purchased at the Strong Scout Shop at 2320 Brighton-Henrietta Townline Rd but we recommend consulting with a Den Leader or Pack Leader before purchasing your uniform.
Fundraising: Our unit dues cover registration costs but the total cost to run a program year per Scout is significantly more than that. We run one major fundraiser a year which is a Popcorn sale that runs from late August through mid-October. On average, about 33% of every dollar sold comes back to the Unit to run our program.
Monthly Pack Committee Meeting time & place: Our Pack Parent Planning meeting is held the first Tuesday of each month starting at 6:30pm at the Ogden Presbyterian Church. We are actively recruiting new leaders/committee volunteers and parents are always welcome at these meetings.
