A miniaturized paper-based disposable pH sensor has been developed for the measurement of urine pH. The developped sensor requires 2 μl of analyte solution for rapid detection of the analyte pH with a response time of 3.07 sec and 36.04 sec for acidic and basic pH, respectively. The sensor is fabricated via in situ deposition of polyaniline over the paper substrate by chemical oxidative synthesis. For an in-depth understanding, a novel electrical equivalent model is proposed, and the electrical parameters were extracted from the Bode impedance and phase plot. The fabricated sensor exhibits reliable and accurate output when tested with human urine sample.

This project contributes to the cognitive assessment of memory performance by means of non-invasive neuroimaging techniques – using functional near infrared spectroscopy and electroencephalography. Here, I tried to find out different cognitive aspects (and limitations in diseased condition) from working memory performance. Substantiate research work has been carried out to understand the role of disturbance in working memory performance in learning tasks using type 2 fuzzy sets. A cognitive assessment of working memory in schizophrenic patients was also studied. Experimental results and statistical investigations ratify our multimodal approach of memory assessment is successful. This project also opens up the future scopes of research in investigating brain rhythms for determining different neurobiological aspects of memory.
