Our club can not opperate without the help of volunteers. Volunteer opportunities include:
Board membership
The SSWP Board currently is in need of a Secretary and two members at large.
Home game support
At all of our home games we need at least 3 people to work the table (no table workers - no game). There will be a training event at one of our early season practices and opportunites for training throughout the season.
Tournament support
From set up to clean up, there are many opportunities to volunteer during the tournament. We will need volunteers to:
1) Set up
2) Pick up and deliver food
3) Welcome people to the tournament and accept payments
4) Work the table during all games
5) Assist with any additional fundraiser during tournament
5) Clean up
If you are interested in helping out, please speak to one of our board members. Volunteering is a GREAT way to help to provide a positive experience for all of our players.
Willamette Valley Water Polo is a club water polo team that accepts players from Salem, Albany, and the local community. Many South Salem players play during the club season, which is Feb. through June each year. Club water polo is a great way to gain additional experience and bond with team members. We encourage you to visit WVWP.org or contact their coaching staff at vwpcoach@outlook.com to learn more.
If you are not yet a high school player, there are area water polo clubs that run spring and fall leagues. Many of our players participate in club polo as a way to enhance their skills.
