Pastor - Scott Killian

As a Braintree native, Pastor Killian was educated in the Braintree School system. Following his graduation from Braintree High School in 1988, he attended undergraduate school at Suffolk University in Boston, where he studied Economics.

Upon receiving his Call to the ministry, he enrolled in graduate studies at Andover Newton Theological School in Newton Centre, Massachusetts in 1993.

Pastor Killian worked as an Assistant Pastor at his childhood church, the First Congregational Church of Braintree, for several years. There he was quite active with the ministry of visitation, nursing home worship, the youth group, and children's ministries with the Sunday School.

He was installed as the permanent pastor here at the South Congregational Church on November 19, 2000.

He says, "I feel blessed to serve Christ in a church that I have seen steadily growing in numbers and in faith through God's Holy Spirit. Our God is alive and well, and is working within this congregation and community!"

Pastor Killian has a love for nature and so enjoys hiking, kayaking, camping, or just walks through the woods with his dog, Hunter.

He continues to reside in Braintree with his beautiful wife Carolyn and their three wonderful children.
