Welcome to the South Central Arizona Border Wildfire Group.

The SCABWG is a group of 13 local fire department agencies located in Pima and Santa Cruz Counties in southern Arizona that participate in local, state and nationwide wildland and all hazards incidents.  The thirteen agencies are cooperators with the Department of Forestry and Fire Management (DFFM) - Zone A3S, under the guidance of  District Manager Lathe Evans. The Assistant Mangers for Zone A3S are Eric Huddleston, Lehi Vizcaino, and Mike Renovata, all of who work within Region 3 Southwest Geographic Area.  Zone A3S Managers have a Duty Officer phone which is: 520-338-8813.  During fire season it is staffed 24/7. The Southeast A3S District Office is located at 6781 E. Outlook Drive, Tucson, AZ 85756. The SCABWG works closely with state and federal land management agencies including the Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management, Coronado National Forest, US Fish & Wildlife Service, National Park Service  Bureau of Land Management, Bureau of Indian Affairs and firefighting agencies in Mexico, as well as maintaining a relationship with Pima, Santa Cruz  and Cochise Counties Department of Emergency Management.  The 14 agencies strive to promote fire fighter safety, a collaborative communication effort among local, state and federal partners, and improved training opportunities all to provide highly capable wildland and all-hazard fire resources.
