Launch:
Glassy Mountain is a south facing cliff launch.
It is not a ridge soaring site. Favorable wind condition is light and variable wind. There are considerable turbulence on SE to SW wind above 8 mph. It usually is quite turbulent to fly on a West wind above 8 mph.
Landing:
The landing field is approximately 800 ft by 300 ft. It is recommended that novice pilots fly in a calm condition.
