We fly when conditions are favorable which is most nice days with a light southerly breeze. With the Glassy launch site along highway 11, we often get people who want to stop and watch as well as learn about the sport or join us in the air. Feel free to reach out with questions about the sport or inquiries into when we might be in the air. If you are a pilot, please join us!
In order to fly a South Carolina Hang Gliding Association site, you must:
Be USHPA rated as an H3 pilot. We may make exceptions for well trained and experienced H2s.
No paragliders. Our sites are not suitable for paragliders at this time.
Be observed and approved by one of our veteran pilots
