Maggie Chula has published thirteen collections of poetry including, most recently, Perigee Moon. Her poems explore the interconnectedness between our everyday lives and the natural world. A featured speaker and workshop leader at haiku conferences around the world, she has also served as president of the Tanka Society of America and as poet laureate for Friends of Chamber Music. While living in Kyoto for twelve years, Maggie practiced Soto Zen and studied the traditional arts of flower arrangement and woodblock printing. She now makes her home in Portland, Oregon, where she hikes, swims, and creates flower arrangements for every room of the house. Please visit her website.
