Joan McBride’s poetry has appeared in Clamor, Raven Chronicles, Yours Truly, Sky River, and Nightshade. She received an MFA degree from Spalding University. Joan served as an elected official for 25 years including mayor of Kirkland. She lives in Kirkland, Washington.
Denise Calvetti Michaels’ poems appear in Paterson Literary Review, Clamor, Ovunque Siamo, and in the anthologies Milk of Almonds (Feminist Press) and Taste of Poetry (Walt Whitman Birthplace Association). She earned a creative writing and poetics MFA at UW Bothell, and teaches psychology at Cascadia College where she’s a member of the Climate Justice Initiative.
