Michael G. Hickey has published two books of poetry, In Defense of Eve and A Dress Walked by with a Woman Inside, and one novel, Counterclockwise. He received a BA in creative writing from the University of Arizona in 1987 and an MFA from the University of Washington in 1992. He is a tenured professor at South Seattle College and in 2009 he was inaugurated at Seattle's eighth “Poet Populist.” Visit his website at www.mghickey.com.

Kathleen Flenniken served as the 2012–2014 Washington State Poet Laureate and is author of two poetry collections, Plume (University of Washington Press, 2012), a finalist for the William Carlos Williams Award, and Famous (University of Nebraska Press, 2006), named a Notable Book by the ALA.
