Welcome to my homepage!

In August 2018, I joined the Department of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering at Tarleton State University, part of The Texas A&M University System. Since 2024, I have been an Associate Professor of Computer Science, with tenure, working on Computer Vision, Active Perception, and Robotics research problems. I also carry out research on perception of autonomous vehicles, deep learning, and parallel algorithms for high performance computing.

Research

My research interests span the entire spectrum of robotics and computer vision. In particular, I am interested in robot navigation, multiple view geometry, geometric and probabilistic algorithms for robot/visual navigation, active vision, optical flow, space robotics, visual odometry, robot localization and mapping, biologically-inspired robotics, deep learning, and parallel algorithms.
