Prior to joining Tarleton State University, The Texas A&M University System in August 2018, I was a Senior Postdoctoral Researcher at the Autonomous Robots Lab at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Nevada, Reno (2017-2018), carrying out research on robot vision for autonomous vehicles. Previously, I was a Senior Research Scientist at Athens Information Technology, in Athens, Hellas (2015-2016), and a research associate at Femto-St Institute, in Besançon, France (2014-2015), pursuing research on multi view geometry. Before that, I was a postdoctoral research associate at the University of Nebraska at Omaha (2012-2013), carrying out research on robot navigation funded by ONR (Office of Naval Research) and a BK21 (Brain Korea) postdoctoral research associate at Pusan National University, in Pusan, South Korea (2010-2012), working on the intersection of robotics and computer vision. I hold a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Southampton, UK (2010), a MS in Advanced Computer Science from the University of Birmingham, UK (2004), and a BS in Computer Information Systems (major) from the American College of Greece, Deree College, in Athens, Hellas (2002), where I was also recipient of the Mani scholarship, given by the American College of Greece, for the entire duration of my studies.
