About Us

Somerset West is a neighborhood of approximately 250 single-family homes in Bellevue, Washington. The first houses in our neighborhood were built in the 1930s, but we have certainly changed and grown over the years!

The children in our neighborhood attend award-winning Bellevue schools - from Somerset Elementary, to Tyee Middle School, and finally Newport High School. Newport High School in particular has been singled out by Newsweek Magazine and U.S. News & World Reports as one of America's best public high schools. Our neighborhood has easy access to Interstate 90 and Interstate 405, providing our residents quick and easy access to Downtown Bellevue and Downtown Seattle as well as recreational activities like skiing, sledding, biking, hiking, and water skiing.

The Somerset West Community Association is composed of owners and/or residents within the following boundaries:

* Bordered by Newport Way on the North

* All homes along 129th Pl. SE and

130th Pl. SE southward along 130th Ave. SE/SE 49th St. up to Forest Hill Neighborhood Park and all streets branching off of 130th Ave SE/SE 49th St.

In 1978, the City of Bellevue annexed the first portion of our neighborhood and four more annexations in 1989, 1992, and 1993 incorporated the rest of our community into Bellevue:
