Mendip Challenge 2019

The decision has been made to move the 2019 Mendip Challenge earlier into the year, to hopefully have some wet and muddy land, something that Lambs Leer is famous for! 

Therefore, the 2019 Mendip Challenge will be held from Friday 12th April to Sunday 14th April 2019

Due to Unforeseen Circumstances Classic Catering have had to pull out of the Mendip Challenge. Catering will now be provided by a local company. We are still confirming times, however most likely it will be Saturday and Sunday only for Breakfast and Lunch, into late afternoon. Please pass on the message. Entries are still open if you are yet to enter.

The Mendip Challenge 2017 was a great success, and we are already planning 2018's event to be even bigger and better. 2018's event will take place from Friday 6th to Sunday 8th July 2018, and again will host an RTV trial on the Saturday, and CCV on the Sunday. Classic Catering should again be in attendance providing Breakfast, Lunches and Evening Meals along with a Beer tent for socialising in the evenings. 



The SWLRC would like to invite you to the Mendip Challenge from the 6th - 8th July 2018, at one of our best sites up on the stunning Mendip Hills - Lambs Leer, Nr. West Harptree, Somerset. (BS40 6EN)

As last year, we will also be running the Mendip Team Challenge for each competition. In which three drivers will compete for the overall lowest score in one disipline, eg RTV or CCV. There is a separate trophy for both the RTV and CCV Competitions, and no charge for being entered into this. So why not enter for a little bit more competition?

Saturday 7th - RTV + Team Challenge
Sunday 8th - CCV + Team Challenge

As always this is an ALRC event, and therefore all vehicles competing must comply with these rulings. This year we will be allowing Q Class entrants, please ensure you read the regulations and are able to compete.

Many thanks to our main sponsor this year, DKF Engineering who have contributed towards this event. As well as thanks to our trophy sponsors and raffle sponsors Bearmach.

Our chosen charities are Dorothy House and the Great Western Air Ambulance.
There will be a raffle each day after trialing in aid of the trust and, there will also be buckets for donations of loose change. Please give generously. 

Marshalling - As always, we are looking for marshals for this years events, both the RTV and CCV will require a number of marshals to ensure that the event goes ahead. For more information on what this entails, and to sign up to marshal - please click here

Also - Trophy Sponsors - We will be looking for trophy sponsors soon, these are £50 each. As this is our clubs event, please dig deep, and do not leave it upto the same people every year.

EVENT CLOTHING

Mendip Challenge 2018 clothing will be available, with T-Shirts, Polos and Hoodies all available to order. These will be Navy Blue in colour and will look similar to the below. These items are order only, and there will be none to purchase at the event. The clothing order form is attached to the main booking form below, or can also be purchased through the online entry system. They will be available to pick-up on arrival to Site.

All clothing orders must be receieved by Midnight Wednesday 20th June 2018

Entries for this event are now open. Enter using the online booking form, which can be accessed below, or post a paper booking for available at the bottom of the page. If the online system is used, please ensure a valid email is supplied, as this will be used to send a booking confirmation and payment details. Payment can be made by BACS or Cheque.

At this point, trial costs rise to £35 and only online entry will be accepted.
Places are limited and not guaranteed, so enter early to avoid disappointment.
Closing Date for entries will be FRIDAY 22nd JUNE 2018. After this date, entries will still be accepted however trial costs increase to £35 per trial.
