Sudanese mish

One of simple and delicious sudanese sauce, you can make it with yogurt or greek yogurt or both depnding on how thick you want your (mish), it's very delicious with falafel or with eggs or Fava Beans .and it's also good for quick snack .

For this recipe I used Greek yogurt , you can buy it from a store or make it at home from scratch

First making yogurt

In a pot pour 2% reduced fat milk

Turn the heat on high until it boiled

Then remove it from the Heat a let it to cool down

then add to the milk a tablespoon of yogurt,

dissolves it in a little amount of milk " milk must be warm in this step "

covered the pot and leave it in a warm place for one whole night.

If you have a cold weather you can put it in your turn off oven with the light on

The next day the yogurt is ready

Using cheesecloth or coffee filter or linen dishcloths ...strain the yogurt

Depending on how thick you want the yogurt or the mish, this will take several hours

When the Greek yogurts ready you can mix it with the spoon to get rid any lumps

Making mish

In a small pan roast fenugreek ..

before you remove it from the heat add black seed and roast them together for a few seconds

Then directly pour them on the yogurt

and add garlic clove ( cut it into half) , hot paper, and some salt

Mix all together and place it in container and keep it in the fridge for one day you can keep it longer for more flavor !
