I received my Ph.D. in Economics from the Quantitative Economic Doctorate at the Universidad de Alicante (advisors Ignacio Ortuño-Ortín and Luis Corchón).
I graduated in Economics at the Universidad Pública de Navarra.

My research areas are Political Economy and Public Economics.
I am particularly interested in the analysis of political parties' competition and elections from a strategic perspective (see a recent interview).
My recent work has appeared in refereed journals such as Electoral Studies, European Journal of Political Economy, Public Choice, Social Choice and Welfare, Regional Science and Urban Economics, Journal of Public Economic Theory, Theory and Decision among others.

Here are some topics which I am working on: primary elections, the effect of political ambiguity, the analysis of identity and salience in voters preferences, elections and redistribution.
