Hi! Welcome to my page!

I am a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Economics at the Newcastle University Business School in England. I was previously a Research Fellow at United Nations University - World Institute for Development Economics Research (UNU-WIDER).

My fields of specialization are behavioral economics, development economics, and labor economics. Within these fields, I have two areas of interest. First, a large part of my current and ongoing work is focused on the importance of behavioral traits and socioemotional skills as both predictors and outcomes in the process of economic development. Second, I have worked extensively on caste and gender-based discrimination. I use observational and experimental data and have run lab experiments as well as artefactual field experiments. My work focuses mainly on India and Vietnam.
