About Us

Santa María Su voz (SMPSV)... It is a work team formed to investigate and recover historical evidence between 1900 and 1970 from the town of Santa María de Punilla. In 2006 we edited, under the Cordoba Popular Stories Program, our first work, which consisted in the compilation of oral testimonies and photographs that made the history of the town. At that time, due to the characteristics of the edition, a lot of data and information remained unprocessed, we had discovered Dr. Cetrángolo's book and we understood the need for continuity on the subject. This is how SMPSV arises with the aim of rescuing the history of Santa María, and this time endorsed by the Carlos Landa Foundation

The Project

We know that records on the history of Santa María is abundant and varied. In many cases it has dispersed or disappeared. This rescue implies searching for, recovering historical information to analyze it, order it, append it to the existing one in such a way that it is accessible to all. The realization of this project will allow to know the history of Santa María de Punilla in an agile, fast and simple way.
