Smoky Mountain Motorcycle Trip 2014

This website will give information and show potential rides for an upcoming motorcycle trip to the Smokey Mountains planned for September 2014.

The rides shown are in no particular order but represent potentially some of the best motorcycle riding in the area. These rides will not only be scenic (if you dare to take your eye off of the road to look) but will challenge your riding abilities to the fullest. Ride YOUR ride.

All of the routes shown were designed, when possible, to start and finish at the same location so riders would not have to unpack each evening and repack each morning. The City of Cherokee, North Carolina was selected as a base camp due to its centralized location plus its lodging and dining opportunities.

The potential rides listed in alphabetical order include:

Blue Ridge Parkway and Diamondback Loop: 275 miles 7 hours saddle time

Land of the Waterfalls Loop: 180 miles 4 hours saddle time

Moonshiner 28: 177 miles 4 hours saddle time

Moonshiner and Six Gap: 270 miles 6 hours saddle time

Tail of the Dragaon and Cherohala Parkway: 205 miles 5 hours saddle time
