Museum Passes

Slater Library is proud to offer Griswold and Lisbon families discounted or free passes to local attractions. 

Passes can be reserved by calling Slater Library @ (860) 376-0024 and must be checked out on an adult's card. One pass per family at a time may be checked out and passes cannot be renewed. Passes are checked out for three (3) days so that you can pick up the pass the day prior to visiting the museum and return it the day after. Please remember to return the pass to staff members inside Slater Library when the Library is open. 

Please remember, you may need a physical pass to enter the museum or park; a library card cannot be substituted.

• The Carousel Museum & Museum of Fire History, Bristol - admits group up to four visitors

• Custom House Maritime Museum, New London - Free Admission for two (2) people

• Lyman Allyn Art Museum, New London - Free Admission for up to six (6) people

• Niantic Children's Museum, Children's Museum on Southeastern Connecticut, Niantic - Free Admission for up to four (4) visitors

• Old State House, Hartford - Free Admission for four (4) visitors

• Slater Memorial Museum, Norwich - Free Admission for up to five (5) visitors

• CT State Parks Pass, statewide - Waives entrance fees for two (2) adults and four (4) children (ages 12 and under) to the centers and historic buildings at:

• Dinosaur State Park, Rocky Hill

• Gillette Castle State Park, East Haddam

• Fort Trumbull State Park and Visitor Center, New London

Parking fees are free for all CT vehicles in all CT State Parks. See Gillette Castle website for information on reserving tickets to visit the Gillette Castle building.

Reduced Admission:

• Mystic Seaport Museum, Mystic - 50% off admission for two (2) adults and three (3) children

• Connecticut Science Center, Hartford -borrow coupon card for 20% off admission for four (4) people

• Roger Williams Zoo, Providence, RI - $5 off per person for four (4) tickets with code 

• Springfield Museums, Springfield, MA - Buy one admission, get one half off (up to six people). Library card must be shown at Springfield Museums for admission.

• Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art, Hartford -  Purchase one adult or senior admission (age 18+), recieve one adult or senior or 2 youth admissions for free.
