Information to Prepare for Group Lessons
If you have not signed up ahead of the first day of group lessons, we recommend arriving at least 30 minutes early on your skaters first night to allow time to register (pending open slots) and get your skater ready to be on the ice on time. We encourage registration prior to the start of group lessons to ensure your skater has a spot in the program.
Spots are limited and are first come first serve.
Skating Attire
Younger children are encouraged to wear a helmet. All skaters must wear gloves while skating, dress warmly, skates should not run large, and should fit snugly. The Watertown Municipal Arena offers skate rentals.
We ask that parents not stand at the boards or sit/stand in the hockey boxes next to the rink. This is distracting to the skaters and can cause accidents.
*********************************
NOTE: We will not be offering separate Learn to Skate hockey-specific lessons, but all are welcome in our Learn to Skate program to learn foundational skills.
*Ice time is subject to change to accommodate hockey games, arena events, weather, and other unforeseen circumstances. Check back frequently for schedule changes here on our website or on our Facebook page: www.facebook.com/skatewatertown.
We make every effort to reschedule group lessons. There are no refunds for cancelled ice.

We will prorate fees if you are joining after the season starts and spots are available.
Please contact skatewatertown@gmail.com with any questions.
