This project aims to evaluate the effects on children and their families of one of England's major early years large-scale programme called Sure Start. The project includes several strands. The first one focuses on the impacts of the programme on children and mothers' health. The second one will focus on academic and behavioural outcomes. The project has received financial support from the Nuffield Foundation.
