One of our Physical Education goals this current year is to improve student scores for the Push-Up Test. Coordinating activities that focus on upper body strength is just one way we hope to improve these scores.
The other way we would like to improve student Push-Up Test scores is by having them practice at home. I have always believed in the phrase "Practice makes perfect". Which is why I have created a daily push-up calendar for my students to follow. I am challenging my students to try this at home and I promise them that their scores will improve if they follow this plan until the spring when we post-test.
Below are some examples of modified push-ups that students can perform if they are struggling with performing an actual push-up. All of these types of push-ups have been demonstrated in class so students should be familiar with them.
