Dear Father in heaven, we thank you for moving our hearts so that we may know we are your children. Even in the midst of turmoil and evil on earth, fear and pain, you bring us happiness of a coming; we can know that you are holding us with your right hand.
As you a will finally deliver us from all evil. Let your Spirit be at work everywhere to house uas forevermore. We pray in Jesus' name, Amen.

Our Daily Word
Matthew 13:43 Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears, let him hear.
The whole structure of the parable implies that the beauty of the righteous man is hidden in the present; where tares and wheat scarcely distinguished as one's hidden source.
The glory of God begins with men here and there, though veiled. The wheat had in it the germ of the golden grain. The sun shines forth from the clouds to which it obscures this radiance.
Reasons of this concealment are for those who have ears to hear will see God's salvation at work as normal as onto the things of nature in its purified growth.

1 Peter 3:8 Finally, all of you, have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind.
Words are singularly the most powerful force available to humanity. We can choose to use this force constructively with words of encouragement, in love of tender heart, or destructively using words of despair.
All of you says the word of God humble yourself? Yes, indeed now we know Words have energy and power with the ability to help, to heal, to hinder, to hurt, to harm, to humiliate, to unite, and to humble as one mind in Christ.

Philippians 3:13 Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead,
Rejoice in the Lord: is the text of the whole chapter. After a long chapter on the suppression of self and the absorption of every faculty in the service of Christ, here seems to be the reward.
Is to have no confidence in the flesh. In the fleshly ordinance which cannot be retained without dishonoring Christ by looking behind rather moving forward in what lies ahead.
In knowing the Spirit unites no human spirit to God which is not holy; and so the cutting off of sin was what circumcision always signified (Romans 2:29). So, by making it one's own purpose one shall find joy and praise in the struggle.

Our Daily Bread
2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.
The description which the apostle makes of the present state in which we now are. His description of the future state, in which the faithful shall be hereafter.
The certainty of that joyful state. The one habitation is certain as the other. But what certainty is there of such things, may some say? May we not abuse ourselves, if we look for that which no man ever saw?
Is not this to build from the sky towards the ground? The apostle answers to such evidence, here, in this text: "We know that we have a building of God." We have solid grounds for this persuasion that it amounts to knowledge to the over al make up of God's word.
1 Corinthians 6:19-20 Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.

The Black Sunday Sermon
Galatians 6:2 Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.
The responsibility of the individual soul - "Every man shall bear his own burden. Now these two principles are not really opposed to each other, and neither are the precepts of the text.
For if you think of it, you will find it is impossible to obey one part of this law without obeying the other; that it is impossible to bear one, your own burden, without at the same time bearing the burden of others.
That it is impossible to realize the awful responsibilities of your being without at the same time realizing the claims of your brothers; impossible to find your own true life without giving up your individual will, without "merging your personal interests.
In those of the human brotherhood, and those of the spirtual brotherhood in the light of the life of God. Take one side of the idea first and flip it? And feel what you have?
"Every man shall bear his own burden." There is certainly a very real sense in which this is true, and perhaps no truth has impressed itself more deeply upon the mind of man than the gospel of Christ.
