Qualification: Pursuing/Graduated B.Tech/M.Tech with strong background in computer vision/deep learning; programming skills like Python expert level, C/C++; extremely high motivation and dedication; a very good academic background and an interest to pursue research/engineering.

Research Assistant Positions 


Description: We are looking for outstanding highly motivated candidates for Research Assistants who are enthusiastic about cutting edge research in multimodal AI i.e., in audio-visual learning and vision-language tasks. This area is heavily inspired by the rapid progress of multiple modalities, such as audio, visual, and language systems, as well as the availability of large multimodal data.  

Qualification: B.Tech/M.Tech with strong background in computer vision/natural language processing and deep learning; C/C++ and Python expert level; extremely high motivation and dedication; a very good academic background and an interest to pursue research and apply for higher degrees (for example, MS/Ph.D. in a top institute in India or abroad). 

Duration: 6 months to 1 year; might get extended depending on the performance.  

Emolument: Funded position; Based on qualification, exposure and projects dealt earlier.

My past 3 years research at undergraduate students from KLE Technological University have the following profile:

REU 2021: Published a paper in ICDAR 2021, and moved for MS under Prof. C. V. Jawahar, CVIT Labs, IIIT Hyderabad.

REU 2020: Published a paper in ACCV 2020, and now working in Compass.

REU 2019: Published papers in BMVC 2019, ICVGIP 2019, and moved for MS at IIIT Hyderabad and now working in Verisk.

Call for PhD Scholars/Masters/Internship (Open)

Research Assistant (Closed - 1)

Note: Duration is 4 to 6 months. Candidate possessing good coding skills in C++/Python will be preferred. Knowledge of computer vision and machine learning is essential. 

Opportunities (Research Assistant/Fellow for the following projects)

[1] Applications are invited for ONE  post of Research Assistant/Scholar in the research project entitled “Crowdsourcing Framework for Digital Archiving of Cultural Heritage”  sponsored by MHRD, Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. 

[2] Applications are invited for ONE  post of Research Assistant/Scholar in the research project entitled “3D Reconstruction of Underwater Archaeological Site Poompuhar”  sponsored by MHRD, Department of Science and Technology, Government of India.

Essential Qualification: About to graduate / Graduated with B.Tech or M.Tech degrees in Electrical Engg./Electronics Engg./Computer Science or related disciplines. 

Desirable: Knowledge of basic image processing, computer vision, machine learning/deep learning. Proficient with the following programming languages: Python, MATLAB, C++ (preferable) , C. Candidate having prior knowledge in the relevant research area will be given priority.

Duration: Minimum 6 months to 1 year initially, which may be extended depending on the performance till the end of the project.   

Remuneration: Handsome emolument based on qualification, exposure and projects dealt earlier.
