The NTSS Shri Shankar Arts and Commerce College Library, was opened in 1970, contains 42583 books as well as 54 print periodicals and publications. In addition, the college subscribes to the online databases N-List, which comprise e-books and e-journals. The library occupies 6700 square feet on the bottom floor. It is easily accessible to both staff and students. The library's major purpose is to provide people with access to print books and journal e-resources. In addition to printed books and journals, the library provides students and faculty with electronic resources. The digital department of the library has six computers, each with a 35 Mbps internet connection and a dedicated data line. Memberships are available at the library for better resource sharing. N-LIST and NDL memberships are available at the library. The library offers a large reading area with seating for 120 students. Before entering the reading hall, students must maintain complete silence, silence their phones, and sign a record kept at the admittance counter.
The library will include a variety of services, including an online database, an OPAC, and reference. Internet, Reprography, and electronic journals and bulletins are also available in the library. The library has participated in the digitization of its collection through a Memorandum of Understanding with the Sanchi Foundation Bengaluru, and the digitized books are listed on www.arcives.org, one of the world's largest digital content collection online platform. When it comes to a library's functionality, academic (such as resource selection, technical processing, material organization, reader services, updating new developments, and so on) and administrative (such as material acquisition, bill processing, budget management, and so on) aspects of the institute are typically integrated. As a result, in order for the institute library's daily operations to adhere to specified norms, a "Library Manual" is required.
