Macroeconomic Policy Analysis (5AF2017) - Fall 2016 (6 ECTS)
Master of Science in Economics, major in Economic Policy
The course is intended to serve as a graduate level stepping-stone to advanced courses in macroeconomics. It is designed to provide a rigorous introduction to the study of dynamic macroeconomics based on models with micro-foundations.
The main objectives of the course is to get students familiar with dynamic optimization methods, standard inter-temporal optimization problems, economic growth models, overlapping generation models and real business cycle model. We will also try to tackle some selected topics such as equilibrium unemployment theory, money and pension systems.
