Dr. Shahriar Shahabuddin
Biography
Dr. Shahriar Shahabuddin has amassed more than fifteen years of experience in digital VLSI design and Signal Processing through his roles in academia and industries across Europe and America. He received his MSc and PhD degrees from the Centre for Wireless Communications at the University of Oulu, Finland, in 2012 and 2019, respectively, under the supervision of Professor Markku Juntti, Fellow, IEEE. During Spring 2015, he was with Computer Systems Laboratory, Cornell University, NY as a Visiting Scholar in Professor Christoph Studer’s group. Since 2017 and 2020, he held positions as a SoC Specialist and Senior DSP Engineer at Nokia, Finland and Nokia, Dallas, TX, respectively. Dr. Shahabuddin has received the Docent title from Faculty of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering, University of Oulu, Finland in 2021. He also served as an Assistant Professor of Instruction in the Electrical Engineering department at University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) during 2023 and 2024. Dr. Shahabuddin is currently with Oklahoma State University as a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor. His research interests include digital VLSI architectures for 6G Wireless Communications, Signal Processing, Machine Learning and Wireless Security. He is a Senior Member of IEEE and serves as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Signal Processing Systems.

Mr. Sakib has completed his BSc from Islamic University of Technology, Dhaka, Bangladesh. He is working towards his PhD on massive MIMO systems with nonidealities.
Quentin Koeninger, Graduate Researcher, Oklahoma State University
Mr. Koeninger has completed his BSc from Oklahoma State University, USA. He will start his PhD in the VIP group from Fall 2026.
Eden Barnes, Miller Scholar and Undergraduate Researcher, Oklahoma State University
Mr. Barnes is working on semantic communications on edge devices and FPGA implementation for THz transceiver.
