April 2009 will be busy

The month of April will be a busy and important month for the Santa Fe Village Neighborhood Association.

Watch for our first new sign to appear at the Dellyne entrance the weekend of April 11th. Money for the sign was raised via contributions from neighbors.

Saturday, April 18 will mark the resurrection of the annual Neighborhood Flea Market. Residents can reserve a space in the parking lot of the park for just $10, to sell their wares. The $10 goes toward our Replace Our Signs campaign and you get to keep all your profits.  Reserve your space today by emailing our Flea Market chairperson Heather through our Yahoo Group. (See our home page for getting online with us.) The Association will also take donations of items to sell. You drop the item off during the sale, we’ll sell it and put the proceeds toward the sign fund. We’ll also being selling refreshments to help our sign fund. The sale runs from 7-noon on April 18th. We hope to see you there as a buyer AND seller.

And then it’s time for our annual meeting on Sunday, April 26 at 2pm. It will take place in the Library Pavilion, (the outside area on the SW side of the building). A number of officials have been invited to answer your questions about their particular area of expertise. We’ll also report on the year’s activities and elect a couple of new board members. Plan to attend and consider volunteering to join the board as we work to better our neighborhood.
