Become a Foster Parent
SFPP needs volunteers to provide foster homes for our rescued cats and kittens. Besides offering shelter and food, foster parents get cats and kittens ready to be adopted. Part of this process includes having them spayed or neutered, getting immunizations, and testing for aids and leukemia. An important but sometimes overlooked aspect is socialization.
Kittens who were born and lived outside need the experience of loving human contact and companionship.
When they are ready for adoption, our volunteers take them out to show them to the public, usually at pet stores or public events. Interested people fill out applications and are screened for possible adoption.
Fostering is a rewarding experience, both for the foster parents and the cats and kittens.
