About CAPPS "Automaton" project

Computer-Aided Process Planning System (CAPPS) "Automaton" was my most ambitious project, created for 5 years.

The point of the system is to facilitate and accelerate the technologist work at an engineering plant. Based on the input data of the detail, the system itself creates a technology (the technologist's output document), i.e. a list of actions how to make a detail from a billet. Also is calculated a work rationing, i.e. the cost of production of this detail, for the plant using this technology. To calculate the other cost, you can edit the technology or slightly change the input data.

Also in the System is implemented:

• Technologies update and the creation of new technologies: by editing the database (including the creation of tables for the new universal technological processes) and debug technology mode.
• Viewing, addition and editing tables in the system database, input data, and output document.
• Links between cells in different tables with common values.
• Interactive verification of edited data.
• Printing of the output document in three formats.
