Interns from out of state may request lodging at no cost on a space-available basis. Interns are not required to stay in the student quarters and may lodge elsewhere at their expense.
The student quarters are located in Sells on the hospital compound.
This is a small studio apartment with one shared bathroom and a shared sleeping area that can accommodate up to two to three people (limited to one student during COVID).
Please be aware that interns from more than one school may be sharing this apartment at any given time (however, occupancy limited to one student during COVID).
The student quarters are equipped with a fridge, freezer, stovetop, and basic kitchenware.
There is also a laundry room located next door.
Co-ed quarters are not available and guests are not allowed to stay overnight under any circumstances.
Please be aware that Facilities and Housekeeping personnel may enter the student quarters in conjunction with the performance of their duties. This may occur at any time without the students' permission. It is, therefore, the responsibility of each student to ensure that their personal items are stored securely at all times.
All interns are responsible for their own transportation.
Interns staying in the student quarters must have a readily available means of transportation. Therefore, it is recommended that they drive their own vehicle or rent one.
Interns who will be commuting from Tucson may ride the vanpool from Three Points at no cost.
Highway 86 is well patrolled by various law enforcement agencies.
There will also be animals on the highway so extra care should be taken to avoid a collision when travelling at night.
Meals are provided at no cost on weekdays at the Sells Hospital cafeteria.
