In accordance with the Tohono O'odham Health Care Mission, the Pharmacy Department fully succeeds on a daily basis in creating a safe working environment for all staff as well as protecting the privacy of all patients. Respecting patient privacy and maintaining the security of the facility are both very important. Therefore, it is imperative that interns be aware of the environment in which they will be working and that they are prepared to comply with institution policies and regulations without question or hesitation.
Timeliness and punctuality are essential components for the smooth and safe operation of the institution. Therefore, interns must be prepared to make every effort to arrive to work on time every day. It is also necessary for interns to carry identification at all times.
Once the background check is completed, interns are given a clearance level that allows them to enter and work in the facility on a daily basis for the duration of their rotation. Therefore, it is essential that interns complete Phase 2 of the Rotation Preparation in a timely manner.
