Changes in Names of Jurisdictions Used as Qualifiers in Authorized Access Points

When a change in jurisdiction has occurred, and that jurisdiction has been used as a qualifier to a corporate body, the authorized access point of that body will change. Also, it will become necessary to add variant access points to the record.

The corporate body is still in existence, therefore the qualifier changes to (Russia)*; all variants using the qualifier also change. The earlier authorized access point also remains as a variant, indicated by the subfield ‡w nne. The variant access points for the old hierarchy headed by Russian S.F.S.R. variant access points also remain, and an extra variant access point headed by Russia (Federation) is added for the current hierarchy.
