Two wrestlers are allowed to “Weigh In” at each weight class for an event
Two wrestlers at each weight class will travel each week
Some events will be both JV and Varsity, everyone will travel to these events
IBT events will be limited to the #1 wrestler at each Weight Class with an additional 4 wrestlers entered at some events
(Coach McCormick will select additional entries based on several factors these weeks)

Before any competitions all wrestlers shall have an OPC Test to help determine each individual’s Weight Management Plan, this test sets the mark for the entire season
SCHS OPC Test Date = TBD Each Wrestler must bring $5 for the test
Minimum Body Fat % and still allowed to wrestle: Males = 7% Females = 12%
Maximum Weight loss per week allowed is 1.5% from the last weigh in
NFHS Wrestling defines 14 different weight classes for high school wrestling by gender each. Wrestlers are allowed to compete in the weight class they qualify for and the next weight class higher only.

SCHS Athletic Dept. Discretionary Funds for Wrestling - $200
Athletic Budget has allocated funds for awards (MVP, Viper Pride, 4th-6th year awards, Letters, and Pins), and dues for the CCC and CCC events.
Team Fundraises for Entry Fees, Hygiene Items (mat cleaner, mops, Mat Tape, etc.), Travel Funds, Administrative Items and State Series Travel and Lodging
Future Expenses include new wrestling mats, Wall Padding, Out of State Travel, Over Night Travel.
Shower immediately after practice and matches
Self check for sores, rashes, infections everyday
Talk with a coach and parents immediately
Mats are mopped everyday after practice
Wash clothing and sanitize equipment regularly
