Time flies, and the Siletz Bay Railway has evolved a little over
the past couple years. Joi has been busy building numerous
whimsical sets depicting nursery rhymes. To compliment her
wonderful scenes, she purchased a dragon engine, which not only
puffs smoke through its nostrils, but its eyes glow deep red.
As you look through the pictures below, you will see the foilage
has matured since being planted last year. What's more exciting
is to see how both kids and adults enjoy the sights and sounds of
the engines puffing up and down the grades as the they pass
through the tunnels and past the fables we all remember from
our youth. Whistles blow and bells ring to warn of an engine about
to cross a footpath full of giggly children running to their hearts'
contentment. Take a peek at the Siletz Bay Railway in action....
As you can see, even the local wildlife enjoys our garden layout.
Thank you for riding the Siletz Bay Railway today.

In 2010, the neighbors expanded their home into the area of part of the south
side of the layout. It barely affected the track, but it gave us the opportunity to
add some nice features (like a trestle) and provided a covered area that allows
one to rest and enjoy the scenery. Due to a lack of expansion room, it is likely
the Siletz Bay Railway will remain its current size. The scenery will change a bit
from year to year, but the basic track layout will be the same.
