Unsubscribe links are a major asset to reduce spam issues and improve the quality of your mailing list. They are even mandatory in many countries, that’s why YAMM allows you to easily insert such link in your emails. But until now YAMM was simply updating the merge status in your spreadsheet, letting you see who asked not to receive more emails from you. It was your job to clean your mailing list and skip those recipients from future campaigns. We decided it was time to help you a bit more than that.
We now store all those unsubscriptions and before sending a new email campaign, YAMM will automatically check your mailing list to make sure it does not contain the email address of someone who asked not to receive more emails from you.
Note that we are always giving you the choice: YAMM will warn you if your list isn’t clean but you decide if you want to skip those recipients or not.
The ‘Unsubscribed’ status will still appear in your spreadsheet and the method for inserting the unsubscribe link remains the same. If you wish to learn more about this feature, you can visit our documentation.
As this is a new feature, we don’t have in our database all people who decided to unsubscribe from your previous campaigns. You might also want to remove some people who unsubscribed by mistake. That’s why you can manage this list by yourself and add or remove anyone at anytime.
We hope this new feature will save you time and avoid issues with angry recipients!
