New add-ons available in February 2018

February was a dynamic month on Google add-on stores. 35 add-ons were launched (most of them on the Google Sheets add-on store) and 184 were updated.
Among the new add-ons, 5 of them caught our attention. We believe you’ll enjoy them as much as we have!

5 useful add-ons launched last month
Checking tool Lingofy is a one-stop tool for proofing text. Lingofy doesn’t only check for spelling or accuracy, it also respects the writer’s voice and style! Cloud-based, Lingofy lets you share editing style guides with coworkers to ensure content consistency within a company. Lingofy is now available for Google Docs, offering all its features directly on the Google text editing tool.

Cryptocurrencies are more popular than ever, and this is particularly visible on the Google Sheets add-on store! Among many other cryptocurrencies themed add-on, newly released Crypto Data Wizard shows great promise. Very user-friendly, it takes a few seconds to import selected cryptocurrencies data in a spreadsheet. This tool is regularly updated and we should see new features coming soon.

The next add-on is remarkably efficient for building database from information websites like Wikipedia or for benchmarking e-shops. From a website URL, link.fish will extract information like description, image, price etc. and sort them out within a Google Sheet sidebar. All you need to do is to select the data you’re interested in and they will automatically appear in your spreadsheet. URLs are bookmarked so you can refresh data in one click!

As its name suggests, Drive Direct Links generates within seconds direct links to all files in your Drive. Along with URLs, information about folders and sharing details are imported and displayed in a spreadsheet. In addition to getting direct links in bulk, this add-on is a great way to have a one-look overview of your Drive files and related sharing permissions. You can also use it to quickly list the URLs of a bunch of images you want to display through Awesome Table.

In our first article for December 2017, a highlight was made on Paletti, the first add-on released by Zenlan. We are introducing this month their second creation, Sourcera, based on their Culture Collage web app. Available in both Google Docs and Slides, this add-on helps you access images from archives, museums and libraries with Sourcera. Select text in your Google Slide and the related images will appear in the sidebar. Or browse through this amazing database just for fun!
