As a reminder, here are Google own terms of service for End Users Using Add-ons
End Users may use and import Scripts or Add-ons created by third parties, including Google. Scripts and Add-ons are the sole responsibility of the entity that makes it available. Google makes no representations about the performance, quality, content, or continued availability of any Script or Add-on.
Google does not promise that any Script or Add-on will work for your purposes, or that it is free from viruses, bugs, or other defects. Scripts and Add-ons are provided "as is" and without warranty of any kind. Google provides no express warranties, guarantees and conditions with regard to the Scripts and Add-ons. To the extent permitted under applicable law, Google excludes the implied warranties and conditions of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, workmanlike effort, title and non-infringement.
Scripts and Add-ons are subject to change at any time. Using or importing any Script or Add-ons is at your own risk. You should only run the script if you trust the developer of the Script or Add-on, as you are solely responsible for any compromise or loss of data that may result from using this Script or Add-on.
While we do use methods to record usage analytics on Yet Another Mail Merge for quality-improvement purposes, no personally identifiable data will be collected in our usage analytics, except the Google domain of the user and his email address. This means we track the number of time this Add-on has been used by people on a specific Google domain (to compare with usage by people with consumer accounts). We do not record any other personally identifiable data.
While Yet Another Mail Merge requests permission to access the full contents of users’ Gmail inbox, this is because the Apps Script development framework offers us no workable alternative of more limited scope. These access rights are required to allow actions performed by the end user, and in no case are the textual contents of users’ emails transmitted to any 3rd party services outside of the user’s direct control or knowledge.
All personally identifiable data that users may keep in files associated with this tool remains in the complete control of those users from a privacy perspective. Unless specifically stated, we store no personally identifiable information in any 3rd party database or file repository.
Limitations of our Obligations, and Support
At this point in time we are committed to offering this tool at no cost to every user, however we assume no legal responsibility for its misuse by end users, nor do we make any guarantees of its quality or reliability. Because we store no data outside of the end-user’s Google account, the potential failure of this tool generally poses no privacy risk, but we cannot offer a 100% guarantee of this.
While we make every effort to ensure its functionality, Yet Another Mail Merge exists within a fast-moving product ecosystem in which things break and may need to be fixed from time to time. We enthusiastically welcome all users of our tools as partners in their development and refinement, but we ask that you engage with us with the following norms when seeking our support:
Do not expect to get free consulting services on how to use Yet Another Mail Merge. Please do not ask for us to consult beyond the time required to troubleshoot something that is not functioning as expected unless you are proposing to pay us for this time.
We do offer pricing plans to provide additional features, more quota and better support. The goal of those pricing plans is to make Yet Another Mail Merge sustainable in the long run. If you buy such a plan, you will get better support and we will provide you the best experience possible. Nevertheless, do note that Yet Another Mail Merge is strongly linked to the infrastructure provided by Google. Changes by Google on this infrastructure might change the product and the features we can provide.
