Files Cabinet

Files Cabinet add-on lets you select one of your Google Drive folders to list in a spreadsheet all files from this folder (and its subfolders). You can then display this list of files with Awesome Table, to get a nice file cabinet with different filters (filter by last update date, file owner,...).

Why use Files Cabinet?

Files Cabinet can work on very big folders: it can list thousands of files and its only limit is the size of a Google Sheet (two million cells - which means up to 100 000 files). Leave the sidebar open and just wait for the spreadsheet to be filled while we scan your folders.

The Files Cabinet add-on lets you add custom metadata / values for each file. For example, if you have a list of PDF invoices, you can add a column in your spreadsheet with the customer name for each invoice. During each new synchronization of your folder, the add-on will update some info (like the title of each file or the date of last update if they have changed) but will keep your own metadata unchanged.

The add-on offers a pre-built Awesome Table view with several filters to quickly find the files you are looking for. You can embed this list of files in any website / CMS. If you add your own metadata, you will also be able to filter the list based on them and if you want to customize the look’n’feel of this list, just take a look at the Awesome Table documentation to see all the features available.
