Biostatistics
Training Topic : Statistics for Non-statistician
Do you find it complicated to go through statistical sections in various documents or publications? If you do, here is a solution!
This training on "Statistics for non-statistician" is meant for those participants who are not from statistics background and have challenges in understanding and interpreting common statistical methodology and result summaries mentioned in clinical trial protocols or study reports and published articles. Some clinical researcher / Medical researcher may have been facing challenges in interacting with statisticians while providing inputs for sample size calculations.
Training format will involve a brief initial session on basics topics mainly for the orientation of participants. However, the majority of skills gained through this training will be through solving exercises on interpreting statistics mentioned in published articles and documents. All registered participants will also be encouraged to get their data of interest, also statistical difficulties they have faced during course of their work. Trainer Dr Anil Gore will make the training more impactful by discussing all participant's statistical difficulties.

Training Topic : Sample Size Calculation
(Weekend Course)
It is one of the most important aspects of any design since it drives study timelines and the cost of undertaking the protocol. It determines the degree of required information to robustly answer the primary research questions in the study. Sample size is an essential component in any research and its estimation is one of the most crucial steps in designing a study. This training is a practical course based on real world calculations where participants will be able to come away understanding how to calculate their own sample sizes depending on the type of clinical trial design. Trainer Dr Anil Gore will make the course more impactful by including numerical illustrations throughout the course.
