CV

I am an assistant professor at the Católica Lisbon School of Business & Economics. My research focuses on the impact of regulation on financial and economic stability under the influence of changing market structures and institutional frameworks. I also work on the optimal allocation of liquidity and losses within the financial sector and the optimal design of the loss absorbing capacity of institutions.

Before, I was senior researcher at University of Bonn, a Lamfalussy Fellow 2017 at the European Central Bank, a John F. Kennedy Memorial Fellow 2016 at the Center for European Studies at Harvard and a visiting scholar at the IMF, Washington, DC as well as a visiting Ph.D. student at Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona. I earned my Ph.D. in Economics (summa cum laude) from the University of Magdeburg studying the role and implications of internationally harmonized capital regulation on the banking system.
